At the tender age of five, Jovic had already shown interest in football. He started playing football in Loznica and in 2004, he was spotted and offered to play in Mini Maxi. The Mini Maxi was a development league for kids aged between 4 and 12 in Belgrade. In his first game, he scored three goals and his father was offered 50 euros for each game he played from then.
