Mary Frey Career
Frey has received numerous honors for her work, including a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1984 and two National Endowment for the Arts photography fellowships in 1980 and 1992. She received a Te Foundation Fellowship in 2004 and a John Anson Kittredge Fund artist grant in 2010.
Mary Frey was the Harnish Visiting Artist at Smith College in Northampton, MA during the 1994-95 academic year, and she completed an artist’s residency at the Burren College of Art in County Clare, Ireland in the spring of 2001.
