Mike Epps is an American Stand-Up Comedian and Actor born and brought up in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. He played Day-Day Jones in Next Friday and its sequel, Friday After Next, and also appeared in The Hangover and The Hangover Part III as “Black Doug”. Epps also served as the voice of the main character Boog in Open Season 2, replacing Martin Lawrence, with whom he starred in the comedy Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, playing “Reggie”, cousin of Roscoe (played by Lawrence).
He played Lloyd Jefferson “L.J.” Wayne in the films Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) and Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004). He has had starring roles in the sitcoms The Upshaws and Uncle Buck.

Stand Up
In 1995, Epps started his comedy career on a Def Comedy Jam tour and starred in two of the Def Comedy Jam broadcasts. His career build-up began when he was a young child telling jokes, and as a teenager, he did stand-up comedy. He migrated to Atlanta, Georgia, and performed at the Comedy Act Theater. Later, he moved to Brooklyn and landed a role HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam by Russell Simmons.
In 1997, Def Comedy Jam ended, and Epps landed a role in the drama film “Strays,” which was directed by Vin Diesel. Vin Diesel was also the film’s lead. His breakout role was in Next Friday as Day-Day Jones in 1999 after Ice Cube asked him to try out for the role.
