Mike Harvey is an American Meteorologist born in the United States. Harvey is currently working for WTAE, Action News 4 as the Chief Meteorologist. He anchors 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, 7:00 and 11:00 PM Newscasts.

Mike Harvey Career

He is broadcast television experiences have taken him from the snows. The bitter wind chills and tornadoes of the Northern Plains to the persistent drizzle of the Pacific Northwest to the humidity and hurricanes of South Carolina and Virginia and to the deserts, monsoons, and mountains of the desert Southwest.

Harvey said that he has seen just about every type of weather event in my meteorological travels across our great country,” said Harvey, who has been a chief meteorologist in Portland.

He spends 4 1/2 years in the U.S. Coast Guard as a navigator (quartermaster) patrolling the Caribbean to the Great Lakes. Harvey received three meritorious commendations for his work during drug patrols in the Caribbean. He is flooding in the Great Lakes and Green Peace protests in Washington State.
