Mark Klepaski Biography
Mark Klepaski is an American bass player and the former bass player for the Breaking Benjamin band, an American rock band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, presently led by guitarist and vocalist Benjamin Burnley. The band released four studio albums, Dear Agony in 2010, Saturate in 2001, We Are Not Alone in 2004, and Phobia in 2006, selling more than five million albums in the United States alone.
Prior to Breaking Benjamin, Klepaski was the bass guitar player for Lifer. He and guitarist Aaron Fink finally made the decision to quit Lifer and join Breaking Benjamin 2001. However, he left Breaking Benjamin in 2012 after a disagreement over a new recording of the band’s hit song Blow Me Away.
The dispute flared in May 2011 when front singer Benjamin Burnley sacked him and guitarist Aaron Fink, through e-mail. Burnley described his side of the argument in a June court filing, saying Fink and Klepaski made unauthorized and unilateral decisions on behalf of the band, such as giving permission in May for the release of the remix of “Blow Me Away” without informing him.
