Ret started his musical career in the battles of MCs in Lapa in 2003. His stage name “Ret” comes from the times when he was graffiti on the wall. Halfway through, he graduated in journalism at FACHA college, after attempting several other courses. He released the album Numa Margem Distance in 2009, but only began to stand out nationally in 2012 with the release of the album Vivaz.
The single “Neurótico de Guerra” was very successful with the clip on Youtube, showing on many clip channels, such as MTV and Multishow. In his work, he usually uses a lot of melodies in the middle of rhyming phrases, something creative. In his lyrics, he uses a lot of poetry, and philosophy, and quotes many philosophers, and thinkers.
