Early Life, Education, and Career Beginning

Michael met his bandmate, Toby McKeehan, in 1984 while he was in high school. Both Toby and Michael later met Kevin Max while attending Liberty University in the late 1980s, and together they formed a four-time Grammy-winning Music band, DC Talk, with which Tait has released five acclaimed studio albums.

Tait and Toby met back in 1984 while they were still in High School in the Washington DC area and together they both began creating some music. Later in the mid-1980s, both Michael and Toby met Kevin Max while attending Liberty University, and together the three formed the four-time Grammy-winning band DC Talk. They released five acclaimed studio albums.
In the year 2000, the DC Talk announced a hiatus with the release of intermission: The Greatest Hits as the three members were devoted to solo projects.

The former lead singer of the group, Peter Furler, still had to provide the lead vocals on the 2009 album, In the Hands of God, though Tait provided supporting vocals along with fellow member Jamie Rowe of Guardian.
In 2010, the Reborn Newsboys declared information concerning their 15th studio album, Born Again, which was let out on 13th July. This was followed by Christmas! A Newsboys Holiday, including a previously recorded Tait Song. In the year 2011, God’s Not Dead and Live followed up, by Newsboys Live in Concert: God’s not Dead in 2012, restarted in 2013, and Hallelujah for the Cross in 2014.
