Amy Christine Dumas, known professionally as Lita, is an American professional wrestler. Often viewed as one of the greatest women’s performers, she is as well one of the most popular female superstars in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and was inaugurated into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014. Originally using the name Angelica, Dumas began her wrestling career in Mexico with the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in 1998, tracked by shortly working on the US independent circuit in early 1999, and then working for 6 months in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW).

Amy developed an interest in wrestling after watching Rey Mysterio Jr., a Mexican-American luchador, wrestle on an episode of World Championship Wrestling’s (WCW) Monday Nitro. In 1997 she traveled to Mexico to learn more about the sport and how to wrestle. She was the first woman to win the WWE Women’s Championship in Raw main events in 2000 and 2004.

Apart from being a wrestler, she is also a singer who formed the band The Luchagors in mid-2006, and they debuted in September 2006 at a rock n’ wrestling event called Rock -N- Shock at The Masquerade in Atlanta.
