Sherlyn Chopra is an Indian model and actress. She is best known for her work in Bollywood. She announced that she would become part of Playboy magazine (July 2012). In addition, she subsequently became the first Indian woman posing nude for the official Playboy magazine.

Chopra was later appointed to host the 6th season of the show MTV Splitsvilla. Her music single titled “Bad Girl”, was released in December 2013.

Dil Bole Hadippa is a Punjabi word for hurray. It is a 2009 Bollywood film directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner. Starring in the film are, Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukerji in pivotal roles in the story about a young woman who pretends to be a man to join an all-male cricket team. It also has Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil, Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra in supporting roles. The release of it was on 18 September 2009 and received negative reviews upon release, but it was a box office hit.

Speaking of her career starting with her modeling works, Chopra was crowned “Miss Andhra” in 1999.  Her early acting career consisted of roles in a few Bollywood films. She has appeared in movies such as Time Pass, Red Swastik, and Game. In her Telugu film, she made her debut in A Film by Aravind. Apart from that, she was also a contestant on Bigg Boss, a show that she was evicted on Day 27.

Since the year 2013, she filmed as the lead protagonist in Kamasutra 3D directed by Rupesh Paul and she also appeared in the trailer which was released at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival. The project went silent around the production after that for a while and in June 2016 she told the media that she wasn’t working on it anymore.

Sherlyn Chopra explains her ‘sleeping with people for money’ tweet

Actor-model Sherlyn Chopra is known to be controversy’s favorite child. From posting titillating pictures on Twitter to posing for the Playboy magazine, she is now thinking of turning a producer. Here, she discusses her ‘infamous’ tweet and casting couch.

What has been keeping you busy?
I have been reading scripts of feature films. And just recently I zeroed in on the script of my maiden film as a producer-actor.

What’s the release status of Kamasutra 3D?
I’m as clueless as you are. Some say it was released. Some say it is yet to release. I really don’t know. I wish the cast and crew of the film the very best.

You once tweeted that you have stopped sleeping with people for money. You have been hailed for being honest and brave for that statement. Could you tell us a little more about it?
As a little girl, I aspired to be a doctor not just because my late father was a doctor but because I was mainly intrigued by science. I not only excelled in academics but also in extra-curricular activities. Everything was right on track until I bagged the title of Miss Andhra. Nineteen and absolutely mesmerized by the glamour of showbiz, it was at this crossroads that I chose to walk a different path. During my initial days of modeling, I started dating men much older than my age who would pamper me silly with expensive gifts. It took me a while to understand that my need-based relationships lacked genuine care, concern, respect, and love. After, a great deal of introspection, I realized that just because a person desires me does not necessarily mean that he values me. The intent behind my “confession” was to introduce the born-again Sherlyn to the world by finding closure to her past. Sadly, it was misconstrued by the media.

The film industry is known for the casting couch. Have you been asked to sleep with someone for a role?
When I was a little girl, I was told that ‘f*** o**’ was a forbidden term. As a young adult, I learned that saying ‘f*** o**’ was necessary. I was naive as a newcomer in Mumbai. But not so naive that I couldn’t sense the energies around me. My words have always either attracted a strong mind or offended a weak one.

Bollywood Actress Sherlyn Chopra’s Buys New Rs 87 Lakh Mercedes-Benz SUV – Detailed Image Gallery

After actor Jimmy Sheirgill, who recently bought a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, Bollywood has found another fan of the German luxury car manufacturer in the form of actress Sherlyn Chopra. The model and actress who hosted the MTV Splitsvilla in the past, took the delivery of the flagship SUV of Mercedes-Benz – the GLS 350d Grand Edition.

The SUV was recently launched in India for Rs 86.90 Lakh (ex-showroom, India) and is available in two variants – the GLS 350 d and the GLS 400, both of which are priced the same. Sherlyn Chopra took the delivery of her prized possession from Shaman Wheels, a Mercedes-Benz authorized dealer in Mumbai.

The exterior of the GLS Grand Edition comes loaded with LED Intelligent Light System with unique black rings and Corner light function, 50.8 cm (20-inch) 10-spoke light alloy wheels that are painted in Black and with a high-sheen finish, ‘Grand Edition’ exterior badges and chrome fins on the bonnet.
