While there, she landed several complete interviews; she was solely one of two TV journalists requested to interview then-VP candidate Kamala Harris and the only Atlanta journalist invited to the White House to interview First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.
Her remarkable interview with the late renowned gospel singer Duranice Pace went viral with almost five million views, leading to an Emmy nomination and many more possibilities for Pace. Shiba embarked on two news series including “Elevating Atlanta,” which concentrated on shining a light on changemakers elevating their community.
