Flicker started her career in 2001 as a matchmaker, for over 20 years she has appeared on national TV programs offering relationship advice. After she and her husband of 10 years had divorced amicably, she acted as his matchmaker. She then, when she remarried, her ex-husband who served as the best man at her second wedding. Her relationship-advice book Write Your Own Fairy Tale was published by New American Library in September 2015.

She was later featured in the seventh and eighth seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. She later announced she was departing the show on December 22, 2017. She as well co-hosted a weekly podcast, Just Sayin’, along with Clare Galterio and Sammi Giancola.
