Butt is an actor, comedian, and television producer, well known for his role as Brent Leroy on the hit Canadian sitcom “Corner Gas.” Butt started his career as a stand-up comedian in the 1990s, acting at clubs and celebrations across Canada. He made the character of Brent Leroy for his comedy routine, and soon formed the character into the lead role in “Corner Gas,” a sitcom about the residents of a small prairie town.
The show circulated from 2004 to 2009 and was the most-watched Canadian comedy series of all time. After “Corner Gas” ended, Butt restarted to perform stand-up comedy and made guest appearances on different Canadian television shows.
