Riggio was born in New York, United States. She was born in New York to her father a United States citizen of Italian and Polish heritage and a Trinidadian mother. When Allegra was seven years old, her father received an appointment in the U.S. Foreign Service and her family relocated to São Paolo, Brazil, where they lived for two years, finally returning to the U.S. and settling in South Florida.

In 1993 Allegra gave in to the inevitable pull of South Beach, only as the nightlife culture was blasting. She worked and modeled by day, led an extraordinary life at night, and was momentarily part of national advertising campaigns, touring with Julio Iglesias, and being featured in local fashion shows.

Riggio became an admiringly sought-after nightclub lighting director. From 1998 onward she has been a favorite of many of the world’s most famous DJs, such as Sasha and Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk, and Pete Tong.

In 2002, Riggio moved back to New York, where she applied her attitude, exotic looks, and raw comedic humor to on-air hosting. She has been featured on the Alternative Oscars, mun2, HDnet, and Nikki TV, as well as hosted a documentary called “Underground: Miami”. She also supported superstar DJ and Producer David Guetta for a weekly gig at XS Nightclub at The Wynn, Las Vegas, starting September 2014.
