Peck was born in Bakersfield, California, on February 13, 1989. She started her dance training when she was just two at her mother’s dance studio, known as Bakersfield Dance Company. At the age of seven, she started studying privately with one-time Bolshoi Ballet principal dancer Alla Khaniashvili in Hollywood

.In 2000, Peck joined the School of American Ballet (SAB ) for the winter term. She returned to SAB during the summers of 2002 and 2003, and that fall started as a full-time student. In September of 2004, Peck became an amateur with the New York City Ballet. In February 2005 she entered the Company as a member of the corps de ballet. She was promoted to soloist in December 2006 and to principal dancer in October 2009.
