- When Dragos was in fourth grade, her mother bought me a tape recorder, and so she would go around and interview all the kids and put music to it and thought she liked this. Then when they got back to school from the summer break, they had to write a paper about what we did that summer. Which, ironically, we went to Lake Michigan to visit friends in Michigan City, Indiana. So we went and visited these family members and she wrote about it. So she turned in her paper
- When the teacher, after she looked at all the assignments, asked Dragos to stand up, she stood up and she was like, Oh boy, probably in a lot of trouble right now, and she said, “Will you read your paper” and I did and she said “That was the best-written paper of all the people in the class! I think you should be a writer.” She did not want to be an archaeologist anymore after that.

Dragos was inducted into the “Silver Circle” of the “National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences” for more than 25 years of devoted service to the television industry in 2013. That same year Juliet was nominated for an Emmy for her work as a news anchor. In 2009, Juliet was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame at her high school in Western Pennsylvania.
