Michael met his bandmate, Toby McKeehan, in 1984 while he was in high school. Both Toby and Michael later met Kevin Max while attending Liberty University in the late 1980s, and together they formed a four-time Grammy-winning Music band, DC Talk, with which Tait has released five acclaimed studio albums.
