    Isley was born on May 21, 1941, to Sallye Bernice (née Bell) and O’Kelly Isley Sr Isley was the third of six brothers (O’Kelly Isley Jr., Rudolph Isley, Vernon Isley, Ernie Isley, Marvin Isley).
