Alexis Jones born as Alexis Whitney Jones is an American activist and motivational speaker best known for competing on the reality competition show Survivor. She is also ‘I Am That Girl’ founder which is the embodiment of the Aventus for Her woman. Moreover, she also worked as a life coach on MTV’s show MADE. Jones has also contributed to the Huffington Post.
In addition, Alexis also served as the executive producer to the documentary film A Brave Heart: The Lizzie Velasquez Story, about fellow motivational speaker Lizzie Velásquez’s struggles with body-shaming. On 14th March 2015, the film had its world premiere at SXSW. Furthermore, in the same year, Jones was awarded the National Jefferson Award for “Outstanding Public Service 35 Years or Under”.

On 18th March 2014, she published her first book ‘I Am That Girl’. Jones ignites a movement and spreads her message of turning self-doubt into self-love. Alexis and Emily Greener founded a National non-profit organization I AM THAT GIRL in 2008. The organization educates young girls and women by building their self-esteem and realizing their full potential.
In addition, she recognized the potential dangers of living in digital age, consumption and media definitions of what is beautiful. It has an interactive platform with content designed to inspire and encourage.
I AM THAT GIRL helps girls and young women throughout the country to create support and community through the establishment of local chapters. They meet regularly to discuss and share feelings about relevant and pressing topics such as bullying, current events, eating disorders among others.
It also provides the curriculum to help guide discussion and provide ideas for calls to action. The organization has over 75 chapters around the world as of 2017. She also organized the first TEDx Austin Women conference and since then she also founded an organization called ProtectHer.
It started as a result of a series of speaking gigs in the locker rooms of various collegiate men’s athletic programs. Jones introduced to college campuses a film and curriculum series through ProtectHer. This was in an effort to educate young student-athletes on the dangers of sexually assaulting women, and to encourage those same athletes to treat women with respect.
