Sam Brock is an American Emmy award-winning journalist. Currently, he works at NBC News based in Miami, ‎Florida, as a correspondent. Before joining NBC News, Brock worked as a reporter for NBC Bay Area’s evening news broadcasts and on the station’s digital platforms, where he notably covered the murder trial of Kate Steinle, the Wine Country fires, and the death of San Francisco’s mayor Ed Lee.

Further, Brock won two Emmys while at KNTV, one for his coverage of the Asiana plane crash in 2012 and the other for his reporting on the 2016 Ghost Ship warehouse fire in Oakland. Also, Brock provided months-long coverage of California’s 2018 gubernatorial race. Before joining NBC Bay Area, Brock served for four years as a 5 p.m. political reporter and anchor for WTVR in Richmond, Virginia.
