Rashad Haughton is an American writer, film director, actor, and screenwriter who was born in Brooklyn, New York, USA as Rashad Hasan Haughton.

He is known for Muga Shozoku (2015), Queen of the Damned (2002), and Love Like Aliens (2011). Haughton is the older brother of the late American singer as well as an actress Aaliyah and nephew of Blackground Records founder Barry Hankerson.

Rashad Haughton Queen Of The Damned

In February 2002, Queen of the Damned, a film in which Aaliyah starred as Queen Akasha, was released. Before its release, his brother was called to re-dub several of his sister’s lines during the post-production ADR process.

Upon its release, the film debuted at number one and was dedicated to her. He was also in talks of producing and releasing several of his sister’s unreleased recordings from the Queen of the Damned onto her’s second.
