Keenen Ivory Wayans Biography
Keenen Ivory Wayans is an American actor, comedian, and filmmaker. He is a member of the Wayans family of entertainers, best known for creating and hosting ‘In Living Color’.
He attended Seward Park High School, and then went to Tuskegee University on an engineering scholarship. One semester before graduation, Keenen Ivory dropped out of school to focus on comedy.
Keenen Ivory became famous for been the host and the creator of 1990–1994 Fox sketch comedy series, In Living Color. He has appeared in several TV shows such as CHiPs (1977), and Cheers (1982) and movies such as Star 80 (1983), in which he played a standup comic.
Keenen has produced, directed and written a large number of films including Hollywood Shuffle, which he co-wrote in the year 1987, I’m Gonna Git You Sucka, A Low Down Dirty Shame, Dance Flick, My Wife and Kids, and The Wayans Brothers. Many of these films have included him and one or more of his brothers and sisters in the cast.
From 1997 to 1998, he hosted the talk show The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show, and most recently, he was a judge for the eighth season of Last Comic Standing.
