Kris Dunn College Career
In August 2011, he announced he would be attending Providence College. At college, he played basketball with the Providence Black Friars. He played only twenty-five games as a freshman due to a torn labrum, for which he underwent a shoulder surgery, that notwithstanding, Dunn still recorded an average of 5.7 points per game.
After playing just four-games, Kris couldn’t play for the rest of his sophomore season as he had to go through a shoulder surgery which took him months to recover. He returned to play for the 2014/2015 season and a glorious season it was for the youngster. He led the Big East not just in steals per game but also in assists per game. His average point per game that season was 15.6.
At the end of the season, he was named the Defensive Player of the Year and also won the Big East Player of the Year award. The next season (2015/2016), despite returning with the intention to just graduate, Kris Dunn still garnered several preseason accolades to himself, including the preseason POY.
After scoring twenty-six points in a game against St.John which ended in a win and another twenty-six in a game against Butler University which also ended in a win, Dunn was named Big East Player of the Week in January 2016. In February, he emerged as one of the ten finalists being considered for the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award. In that same month, he was one of the thirty-five players who made it on the midseason watch list for the Naismith Trophy.
Kris Dunn forfeited his senior season to enter for the 2016 NBA draft. ESPN projected him as a No.2 point guard and that he would likely be among the first players to be selected in the draft and their projection was correct as Dunn was picked by Minnesota Timberwolves as the 5th overall in the draft.

Kris Dunn Injury| Teeth
Kris Dunn fell so hard on his teeth, they left a mark in the hardwood court
We’ve seen so many different injuries happen in basketball over the years, but we’ve never seen something quite like this Kris Dunn injury. Please be warned: you will not like it.
In his Wednesday game against the Golden State Warriors, the Chicago Bulls guard coasted in for a routine breakaway dunk but lost his grip on the rim while his legs were swinging out in front of him. Since gravity is a bitch, Dunn went straight down, head first — or, more specifically, teeth first.
According to the Bulls, the official injury term was “dislocated teeth.”
After playing just four-games, Kris couldn’t play for the rest of his sophomore season as he had to go through a shoulder surgery which took him months to recover.
Kris Dunn Contract
In July, he signed a rookie scale contract with the Timberwolves team and joined them for the 2016 NBA Summer League and recorded a team-high score of twenty-seven points in his Summer League debut. After two more games, he suffered a concussion which ruled him out of the rest of the tournament. He recovered early enough to join the team for their regular season opening game against Memphis Grizzlies where he scored 8 points off the bench.
Kris Dunn Return
In the 2014-2015 season, Dunn returned from injury to earn the Big East Player of the Year and the Defensive Player of the Year awards. He averaged 15.6 points per game and led the Big East in assists per game and steals per game. Choosing to return for the 2015-2016 season with the intention of graduating, Dunn garnered many preseason accolades, including preseason POY. On December 10, after sitting out nearly seven weeks, Dunn returned to the lineup and finished with nine points in 20 minutes in a 108–89 loss to the Sacramento Kings. On December 15, he scored 24 points in a 98–93 win over the San Antonio Spurs. On January 4, he had 16 points and 17 assists in a 119–116 overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers.
Kris Dunn Draft
He played four seasons of college basketball for the Providence Friars before being drafted with the fifth overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Kris Dunn Chicago Bulls
On June 22, 2017, Dunn was traded, along with Zach LaVine and the rights to Lauri Markkanen the 7th pick in the 2017 NBA draft, to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Jimmy Butler and the rights to Justin Patton (the 16th pick in the 2017 NBA draft). His debut with the Bulls was delayed until the fifth game of the season after he suffered a left index finger dislocation during a preseason game on October 6. In his debut on October 28, in a 101–69 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Dunn came off the bench and had eight points and five fouls, while also aggravating his finger. On November 17, 2017, he scored a career-high 22 points in a 123–120 win over the Charlotte Hornets. On December 9, 2017, he had 17 points, nine assists and seven rebounds and made two free throws with 2.9 seconds left to lift the Bulls to a 104–102 victory over the New York Knicks. On December 26, 2017, he recorded 20 points and 12 assists in 33 minutes in a 115–106 win over the Milwaukee Bucks. He also had four steals and two blocks against the Bucks; Dunn joined Michael Jordan as the only Bulls player with at least 20 points, 12 assists, four steals and two blocks in a game. He also became one of only 18 players to have amassed that stat line in an NBA game. On January 5, 2018, he scored a career-high 32 points in a 127–124 win over the Dallas Mavericks. On February 14, 2018, he had eight points and three assists in 20 minutes against the Toronto Raptors after missing 11 games because of a concussion.
Dunn missed the first two games of the 2018–19 season for the birth of his first child. After recording nine points and seven assists on October 22 against the Dallas Mavericks, Dunn was sidelined with a sprained MCL in his left knee. On December 10, after sitting out nearly seven weeks, Dunn returned to the lineup and finished with nine points in 20 minutes in a 108–89 loss to the Sacramento Kings. On December 15, he scored 24 points in a 98–93 win over the San Antonio Spurs. On January 4, he had 16 points and 17 assists in a 119–116 overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers

Watch Trae Young Get Ejected vs. Bulls for Staring Down Kris Dunn After Deep 3
Few players in the NBA have played as well as Trae Young of late, but the Atlanta Hawks rookie saw his afternoon and individual shooting showcase cut short when he was ejected in Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bulls.
Young drilled a deep three to up the third-quarter lead to 78-62 at the United Center and proceeded to stare down Kris Dunn with his hands on his hips. That drew a second technical and an ejection after the two guards were chippy with each other earlier in the game.
