Mark Henderson is an American one-time competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and one-time world record-holder. He is an Olympic gold medalist, three-time World champion, two-time Pan American Games champion, four-time Pan Pacific champion, and five-time U.S. National champion.
He contested at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, where he won the butterfly leg of the gold medal 4×100-meter combination relay, which set the world, Olympic, American, and U.S. Open records.

He attended high school at St. Albans School in Washington, D.C., where he was a four-time All-American swimmer. He then swam for the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a three-time NCAA champion.
