However, he states that no one else wanted to do the morning news and wake up at 4:20 AM and so he jumped at the chance. Later on, he started performing as a reporter and anchor for the weekend news. The year 1990 saw him move to Birmingham taking a job with WBMG-TV, a local CBS affiliate.
After a few years of television, he also chose to take a break and try his hand at working in the family’s cabinet-making business.
