• By the end of the year 2009, Upstate Shredding was the biggest privately owned scrap business on the East Coast. In March 2010, Upstate Shredding received Tioga County’s Business of the Year award.
• Adam acquired a number of scrap companies and additional properties, including a bankrupt scrap yard in New Castle, PA, between the years 2012 and 2016. By the end of 2016, the properties and companies were collectively known as Upstate Shredding – Weitsman Recycling.
• That same year, Adam won the Platts Industry Leadership Award and the AMM Scrap Company of the Year award for the second year in a row.
• Later in May 2018, a U.S. District Judge found a former Weitsman Recycling employee guilty of defamation. The former employee had spread false claims about Adam online and was ordered to stop.
