Truett died on 23 October 2019 in Nashville Tennessee at his home in 300 blocks Harlin Drive. The family called paramedics that Truett had a cardiac arrest, rushed to hospital but was announced dead on his arrival. During the same time, authorities confirmed that there was no suspicion of any suicide attempts. His father TobyMac had traveled to Canada with his wife Amanda when their son Truett met his death.
