Amber started dating her boyfriend “Scott Peterson” back in 2002. Amber was already the mother of a child and worked as a massage therapist. Moreover, Frey started an affair with Peterson but she didn’t know that he was already married to Laci Peterson.On the eve of Christmas in 2002, Scott killed his wife Laci who was also eight-and-a-half months pregnant. Later, he told Amber that his wife died and this was the first holiday without her.

Peterson told the police that he was fishing that day when his wife disappeared. But the police suspected his behavior. However, they didn’t do anything without any witnesses or evidence. On the other hand, Amber also saw the change in Scott’s behavior. She knew that something was off. Later, Frey called the police after 6 days. The author also told them that she had a romantic relationship with Scott for a couple of months. The police later started working with Amber to collect evidence. According to a source, she recorded over 29 hours of her phone calls with Peterson for police review. Scott was sentenced to death by lethal injection in 2004. He is currently held in San Quentin State Prison on death row.
