Chris Kläfford America’s Got Talent (AGT), Imagine and Something Like Me
Kläfford is one of the many contestants on Season 14 of America’s Got Talent. Chris performed a cover of John Lenon’s Imagine in AGT audition as a guitarist and musician. Chris’s performance was so moving that it brought the audience to tears and earned him all Yeses from the four judges. After passing the audition stage, Klafford performed his original song titled Something Like Me which was received by a standing ovation from all the judges. His emotional performance was good enough to send him past the second stage of the competition into the quarter-finals.
At the quarter-finals stage, Chris performed another original song titled Cold at the Altar in the 1,413 episode of AGT show. After voting, Chris received more online votes than Charlotte Summers and Ndlovu Youth Choir to proceed to the semifinals. At AGT semifinal, Chris performed yet another originally composed song titled If Not With You, For You. Although he received a standing ovation from judge Julianne Hough, he didn’t receive enough votes to send him through the finals.

Sharing the story behind his original song “Cold At the Altar,” on Spotify, he says, “Right before my great grandmother Iris Sjögren passed, one of her last wishes was for me to sing for her at her funeral. She wanted to hear the song Hallelujah.
“The day of the funeral I sat by my self, away from the rest of my family, preparing to sing beside my late great grandmother. I didn’t want to see the faces of my family, because I knew that I would have broken out in tears if I saw them crying.
Cold at the altar is a tribute to Chris’s great grandmother. He performed the song at her burial and describes the moment as of his hardest times.
