Kara Tointon is an English actress who was born and brought up in Basildon, Essex, England, United States of America. She is widely known for her roles in the BBC soap opera ‘EastEnders’ as Dawn Swann, Mr Selfridge as Rosalie, The Sound of Music Live as Maria, The Halcyon as Betsey Day, and for her appearance on the BBC competition series ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and winning the competition with her dance partner Artem Chigvintsev in 2010.
