Texas Instruments and IBM R&D 1994–1999
Su became a member of the technical staff at Texas Instruments, working in the company’s Semiconductor Process and Device Center SPDC until June 1994.IBM hired her as a research staff member specializing in device physics and she was nominated as vice president of IBM’s semiconductor investigation and improve the center. In June 2007, Su joined Freescale Semiconductor as chief technology officer, heading the company’s investigation and development. She served as senior vice president and general manager of Freescale’s networking and multimedia group and was responsible for global strategy, marketing and engineering for the company’s embedded communications and applications processor business from September 2008 until December 2011.
