Sfiso Ncwane Biography
Sfiso Ncwane was born on 21st April 1979 in the South of KZN Mthwalume. He is a South African gospel musician.
Early Life and Career
He was brought up by his aunt since he was just two weeks after his mother left him.
His talent in singing was discovered by the local church.He started singing at a tender age of 8years. When he reached 10 he began singing isiCathamiya and Gospel songs.
During the mid-nineties he started playing keyboards, bass guitar and drums without any formal training, which led to him being invited to perform at local churches, weddings, parties and funerals.
He recorded his first professional album with Bula Music which was produced by Tshepo Ndzimande. The following year after his first album he released Inombolo Yasezulwini, where he featured the late legendary Vuyo Mokoena and Zodwa Twecu, and this album went on to become a best seller.
In 2003 he released Umkhuleko which become number 1 on all South African radio stations.
He was signed by Emi Records and released his first album with EMI titled “Baba Ngyavuma”.
Through his love for music, S’fiso Ncwane went on to launch his own music company called Sfiso Ncwane Productions. His album Baba Ngyavuma, which featured the hit award winning song Phakama Nkosi yeZulu. This was his 1st offering from his company “Sfiso Ncwane Productions” which went on to sell more than 70 000(Platinum Status) units. His long term goal is for his company to assist young upcoming artists who have the talent for producing and writing songs.
Late in 2011,Sfiso Ncwane then released another huge hit song ‘Kulungile Baba’, this song went multiplatinum in just 16 months(selling 328 000) copies and still selling like hot cakes. Kulungile Baba was nominated Song of the year on the Crown Awards, won a Biggest award in the music industry at the SAMA19 for ‘Record of the year’ 2013,and won an AGMA Award, these are London based Gospel Awards.

He opened the S’fiso Ncwane Bursary Foundation. From this foundation he has donated school uniforms to more than 1000 school children and has donated more than R10 000 to local schools in remote rural areas.
He recorded an album of which he donated the proceeds to orphaned children in Johannesburg.
Sfiso Ncwane wife is Ayanda Ncwane. The have two children Ngcweti and Umawenzokuhle
Sfiso Ncwane Death
He passed on in 2016 after a short illness.He was admitted in Fourways Life hospital after a short illness, where he was diagonised with kidney failure and was later moved to the Intensive Care unit.
