Golden Brooks is a well-known American actress. She started her career with a starring role in the Showtime comedy series, Linc’s (1998–2000), and subsequently appeared in films Timecode (2000) and Impostor (2001).

She starred as Maya Wilkes in the UPN/The CW comedy series Girlfriends from 2000 to 2008, for which she received two NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series nominations. She too has appeared in films Motives (2004), Beauty Shop (2005), Something New (2006), and The Darkest Minds (2018). She acquired essential credit for her performance in the TNT limited drama series I Am the Night in 2019.
