Coy Wire NFL Draft

Former NFL players are announcing the picks in the second and third rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft Friday night. Legends (and some not-so-legendary players) from each NFL team will be on hand to announce the picks.

It was announced at the beginning of the month that former first-round pick Eric Wood would announce the Buffalo Bills’ second-round pick and former seventh-rounder Stevie Johnson would be on hand to announce the third-round pick. Johnson even offered the spot to Pancho Billa:

But for an unexplained reason, Johnson is no longer announcing the pick. Coy Wire announced on Thursday that he would be the one announcing Buffalo’s third-round selection.

Coy was a third-round pick of the Bills in 2002, playing six years in Buffalo as a safety and special teamer. He currently works as a correspondent for CNN, appearing on all of their platforms. Buffalo is scheduled to pick 40 overall and 74 overall tonight.

Coy Wire Sea Trials

They could’ve quit. Some of them probably should’ve quit, but they didn’t. Their brothers and sisters raised them up. Humbled that our team was asked to take part in the vaunted Sea Trials at the US Naval Academy.

Here’s a sneak peek of the 14 hours of grueling physical & mental challenges that started at 2:30 am. Sea Trials are a right of passage of sorts. Take a glimpse inside the minds, and hearts, of the special individuals who are dedicating their lives to all of us. Feature coming soon.

Coy Wire Tinkerbell

Coy Wire has experienced countless wins on and off the field. He was a star running back at Stanford University. In the NFL, he became a team captain for the Buffalo Bills and the Atlanta Falcons. But it’s probably safe to say he’s never before dressed up as Tinker Bell.

For the second year in a row, the CNN sports correspondent made a March Madness bracket bet with Elizah, 4, the daughter of a family friend. Elizah picked teams based on the colors and mascots that she liked best.

The bet? If Coy’s bracket won, Bert Weiss, host of radio’s “The Bert Show” — and the boyfriend of Elizah’s mom — would post a “man crush Monday” photo of Wire every week for a month. If Elizah won, Coy agreed to dress up as her favorite Disney character.

Why Biden won where Clinton lost

Bernie Sanders narrowly beat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Michigan primary, but he just got smoked there by Joe Biden in the first real head-to-head matchup of 2020. Michigan should have been the canary in the Rust Belt for Clinton in 2016. It could realistically end Sanders’ primary chances in 2020.

It’s hard to compare exactly why one candidate can win and another will lose in two different elections, but it’s perhaps worth noting what sets Clinton and Biden apart and guess about whether that would make Biden stronger against President Donald Trump in November than Clinton turned out to be. There are a lot of things that could explain why voters seem more open to Biden than Clinton. There are a lot of reasons it makes no sense at all. There’s one obvious difference between them: Biden isn’t a woman

John King CNN

In his role as a chief national correspondent, based in Washington, D.C., John is instrumental in CNN’s daily reporting and breaking news coverage. As part of CNN’s America’s Choice 2012 election coverage, John reported from the trail and moderated three presidential primary debates.

His analysis and use of the “Magic Wall” to visually bring the results and their impact to viewers was an integral part of the network’s Emmy award-winning 2012 election night coverage.

John previously anchored John King, USA and he launched the State of the Union with John King, the network’s Sunday political news program in January 2009. He visited 50 states in 52 weeks to chronicle the first year of the Obama presidency.

He moderated gubernatorial debates in Massachusetts and Florida during the 2010 election cycle. He was a member of CNN’s 2008 Peabody Award-winning political team when he broke the news that Barack Obama had chosen Joe Biden as his vice-presidential running mate. He pioneered the use of CNN’s “Magic Wall” during the 2008 election and contributed to CNN’s Emmy-winning 2006 midterm coverage.

He joined CNN in May 1997 and then became a chief national correspondent in April 2005. He also served as CNN’s senior White House correspondent from 1999 to 2005. His duties included reporting on the Iraq war and the September 11 terrorist attacks.

John traveled with Vice President Dick Cheney to the Middle East in March 2002 as the Bush administration began to build support for confronting Saddam Hussein. King traveled with Secretary of State Colin Powell to Indonesia, Thailand and other South Asian countries in December 2004, and then he remained in the region to cover the disaster and aftermath of the tsunami that took more than 175,000 lives in the region. He was among the CNN crew that covered the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita from the U.S. Gulf Coast in 2005. In June 2006, he then accompanied President Bush on a secret trip to Baghdad.

During the Clinton administration, John conducted an exclusive joint interview in May 1998 with President Bill Clinton and Prime Minister Tony Blair in Birmingham, England. King also had the only one-on-one interview with President Clinton during his historic 2000 trip to Vietnam. He was also CNN’s lead reporter covering Vice President Al Gore in the closing weeks of the 2000 campaign and during the post-election recount controversy.
