Diane Kacmarik Spectrum Bay 9

While at Penn State University in State College, she began her meteorological career. After her graduation, she moved on to Air Science Consultants in Bridgeville, Penn. She did radio forecasts for cities in the U.S. and Canada and wrote forecasts for several large newspapers.

Kacmarik was later hired by WTOV-TV in Steubenville, Ohio. She has also worked for WATE-TV in Knoxville, Tenn.; Lexington, Kentucky’s WLEX-TV (she worked as a Chief Meteorologist). Kacmarik also worked for WDAF-TV in Kansas City, Mo.

Prior to joining Spectrum Bay 9 Tampa Bay, she was previously working for WTSP, Channel 10 as a meteorologist. She joined Bay News 9’s Weather on the Nines team in 2004.

While working for WTOV in Ohio, she helped create the weather department from the ground up.
