Bolling was born on 2 March 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He attended and graduated from Grade School at the Queen of All Saints Basilica School and High School at Loyola Academy.
He then enrolled at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, from where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts – BA in Economics in 1984. While in college, he played baseball and was drafted in 1984 by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He suffered a torn rotator cuff injury and ended his baseball career.

Bolling became a member of Fox Business Network in March 2008, where, he started serving as a financial analyst. In 2008, Bolling was named a co-host (joining Cody Willard and Rebecca Diamond) of Happy Hour, a market commentary show in the 5 p.m. time slot.
After hosting Fox Business Channel’s Follow the Money with Eric Bolling, he became the host of the channel’s Cashin’ In in the year 2013, replacing Cheryl Casone. The program ran on Saturdays. Bolling also co-hosted Fox News Channel’s The Five.

Eric then said that fentanyl is fifty times stronger than heroin, and it could kill you.”
