Olive Marie Osmond is an American singer, actress, doll designer, and a member of the show business family the Osmonds. She was born on October 13, 1959 in Ogden, Utah to Olive May and George Virl Osmond. She is the only daughter in a family of nine children. Her brothers are Virl, Tom, Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny and Jimmy Osmond.
She became a household name in the ’70s as both a country singer and the co-host of Donny & Marie, a variety show in which she appeared with her brother.
Her debut single Paper Roses reached the #1 spot on two Billboard charts, a feat that not only placed her among an elite class of musical royalty, but instantly catapulted her into international superstardom.
