Career
Holmes began his writing career in New York City by staging his original play More Lies About Jerzy (2001) at the Vineyard Theatre, featuring Jared Harris as the lead. The play saw subsequent productions in London at the New End Theatre and in Los Angeles at the Hayworth Theatre.
In 2017, Holmes took on the role of creator for the Epix television series Get Shorty, drawing inspiration from Elmore Leonard’s novel of the same name. Additionally, he directed episodes of the series. His company, Holmes Quality Yarns, secured an overall deal with MGM in 2017.
