Phoofolo began his career in music in the year 1994 when he used to be a backup vocalist for Zoe Gospel Music. In the year 1997, he competed at the “Shell Road to Fame” in Sun City as a soloist.
In the year 1999, he went on a tour with Benjamin Dube before he joined “Joyous Celebration 5” in 2000 as one of the choirs lead singers but left in the year 2001.
He produced his first album ‘Restoration’ which paved the way for his second album ‘Revival’ which was a ‘Live’ DVD recording at the “Vaal University of Technology”. He also hosts a show called ‘His Presence’ on One Gospel channel on Dstv, where he sits down and gets close and personal with Gospel legends from both past and present.
