Mike Barz is an American broadcaster born in Los Angeles, California, United States. He was a weekday morning news anchor at WJAX-TV and WFOX-TV in Jacksonville, Florida. He was also a morning news anchor at WFLD, the Fox affiliate in Chicago, Illinois from 2007-2009.
In early May 2005, Barz was released from his contract at WGN-TV to become a full-time feature contributor at ABC News’ Good Morning America (GMA). Barz anchored the GMA’s weather feature after Tony Perkins exited from the show in 2005 until September 5, 2006, when Sam Champion succeeded him.
