The Almighty Johnsons is a New Zealand fantasy comedy/drama television series, which was created by James Griffin and Rachel Lang and was produced by South Pacific Pictures and aired from 7 February 2011 to 23 September 2013. Lawless played the heroic warrior woman named Xena in the episode “The Warrior Princess,” which aired in March 1995. The character proved to be very successful among fans of the show. Vanessa Angel was originally cast in the role, but she fell ill and was unable to travel to New Zealand for shooting.
