Frankie Katafias Idaho News 6

Katafias joined Idaho News 6 in July 2018 from Orange County, California. Beginning as the station’s morning traffic anchor and reporter, she quickly became the immediate fill-in for the station’s meteorologists and news anchors. During that time, she discovered her love for forecasting and chose to head back to school to become a meteorologist.

After enlisting in her first semester in August 2020 through Mississippi State’s online meteorology program, Katafias became Idaho News 6’s weekend weather anchor and weekday multimedia journalist. By October 2021 she was thereafter promoted to Good Morning Idaho as the leading morning weather anchor.
