Today I’m reminded to love myself. I #flashback to a time I didn’t even want to see or take a single photograph of myself. I have a gap in my childhood of no pictures because I didn’t like seeing my image. #flashback to moving into a house without a single mirror in it because I didn’t want to see my own image even when getting dressed in the morning. Thank God for giving me the career I have because through it I’ve had to learn to embrace myself. And really scrutinize myself. And eventually love all of what I come with- good and bad. And today I’m a firm believer in travelling the journey to ultimate fulfillment in life through self-love. 🙏🏽 Happy Self-Love Journey everyone and Happy Friday. #justhuman #selflove #embraceyourself #loveyourself #KatlegoDanke

Katlego says she’s not in the business of ‘looking like she’s slaying’
With the rise of slay queens and the constant need to appear successful on these social media streets, actress Katlego has made a conscious decision to rather focus on the pixels instead of the bigger picture and she explains why.
In an interview with TshisaLIVE, Katlego shared some pearls of wisdom.
“In this day and age, with social media, we are very concerned with the look of things. You know, overly concerned about the bigger picture but some of these things don’t need you to fret over them. You must take car of the smaller details, the bigger picture will put itself together.”
The Isidingo actress got her preach on as she explained why paying attention to the smaller details was important for her.
“For me, legacy is not something I think about consciously. I’ll always say this, it is more about giving 100% every single day. One must think about knocking the ball out of the park. It is more about the daily exercise, getting your body healthy and fit, eating right then when that dedication shows you will hit the ‘ball out of the park’. It’s about the smaller actions that lead up to the bigger picture.”
After Katlego left us drowning in wisdom, we thought it wouldn’t be fair to let her go without picking her brain about life.
